Garth Ennis

His first work was named Troubled Souls (drawings: John McCrea) and made clear that he don't want to produce an average Comicstory. This story was published by the British Comic magasine Crisis. His second project, named True Faith (drawings Wrren Pleece), 1989/90 published by crisis, too. The story of a young man, who burn down churches was disliked by a lot of religous groups and the chef publisher. With this story he made a statment: A very strainded realationship with the catholic church. After that he worked for 2000AD, the leading Comic magazine Englands. For them he made some stories about Judge Dredd. Here he made another statment. A very detailed view of violence that shows the effects of bad attitudes. Soon Ennis is ready to take the united States. His first contact was Hellblazer. In the four years he wrote hellblazer (1991-1995), his reputation of writing original storys got very well. In contast to the melancolic hellblazer wrote Ennis Demon(drawings John McCrea), which was all about fun and bloodbath. 1995 he became writing his own project: Preacher. With Preacher he wen to the boarders of Comics and wrote stories that the reader never dreamed of. From 1996 he started working on Hitman. The main theme of this Comic is Bloodbath with fun. For Image he wrote teh first six issues of The Darkness.
